When properly used, the groups within the organization can be effective instruments for improving organizational performance and effectiveness. The organization reflects what’s happening in society. In fact, an organization has its own culture.

Diagnostic skills. An entrepreneur or manger must be able to identify and evaluate the problems of the enterprise. Sch skills are needed correct or prevent situations from getting worse. A manager who can prevent problems from taking place is much better than one who can solve problems.
Analytic skills. Analyses are essential in all aspects of the business operations. For instance, analyses are needed in the formulation of goals and strategies. Such skills are also needed in problem-solving and decision making process.
This organizations operates in a complex system of values and relationship which may be conceptualized as a social system. To show the individuals status and roles within the organizations.
Business organizations are made up of people interested in other people. There is hardly a phase in the daily life of the man or woman associated with business and industry that is not in some way related to human behavior. Concern for the people who sell insurance, man machines, take down notes and type correspondence, keep records, supervise people who manage the activities of corporations, big and small, always involve a study of human behavior.
Management is constantly trying to understand and influence the mental process of others and the only access we have on the mental process of others is through a study of their behavior.
People are continually adjusting to and depending on other people. Many people fail to adjust to the work environment because they do not know the nature of the work and climate they are getting into. Service firms are those specifically sought by customers. If the customers are satisfied with the services they provide, they will be continuously patronized even if a competitor is more accessible. Even if this is so, however, there is a point where the customer will be indifferent to the quality of service if the firm providing it is too far enough.
